Costa Rica will lift the monopoly on Fuel
Some Officials Study Plans said that the new President Oscar Arias, is planning to lift the government monopolies in Fuel held by the Costa Rican Oil Refinery (RECOPE) in the next few months.
The new environment and energy minister says the change is good for the consumers, and the increased competition will result in lower prices and cleaner fuel.

The opening process will be gradual, and selective, analizing what areas to open, and how to regulated.

  • Chocolate and tourism to help BriBris
    A small group of Indian women created their own business with the Cacao (The plant used to create the Chocolate) and the Tourism.

    The income from the visitors, supports community projects such as building a new school, purchasing a canoe, repairing a boat motor or helping a needy neighbor.

    They have a dificult very task trying to preserve their culture in this modern life and many people have to leave the town to survive.

    BriBri is an isolated region, located in Talamanca, near the Costa Rica's border with Panama.

    This small group haved success in a region where there is no job for most people. The small group set up a business exporting the cacao paste to Switzerland for use in chocolate and wine. They have shipped cacao seeds to Italy as well.

    The Tourism is helping to get some funds, because they are getting visitors and friends that helps the comunity. People from England, Germany and other countries comes there to get a unique living and experience.
